We were very excited to welcome Rosasharn BH Cashew Turtle 5*M to our herd in 2015, and she quickly became a farm favorite with a zany but sage personality.
Our milk customers love "Turle milk," our visitors always seem to be drawn to her, and she manages to sneak a few extra cookies when the other girls aren't looking.
the opportunity to acquire this special doe from Rosasharn Farm and welcomed triplet bucks on April 8, 2015 That was Turtle's 3rd freshening; she was bred to Rosasharn Prince Liteningwhelk, a 2 year old up and coming buck at Rosasharn
Farm who went on to score EEE 91 at his 2016 linear appraisal.
Turtle is a small, highly refined doe with a very sweet disposition. She earned her milk star during her first lactation as a yearling
by producing over 700 lb. of milk and exceeding butterfat and protein requirements.
Turtle was bred to Gypsy Moon SM Mai Tai *B and produced triplets again in 2016. This time she gave us 2 bucks and a doe
which we retained. We repeated this breeding for 2017 and had triplets again, this time 2 does and a buck. In 2018 Turtle produced quads, 3 does and a buck sired by Gypsy Moon A Lazuli who she is also bred to for 2019.
Turtle was shown sparingly in 2015-2016. She is somewhat at a disadvantage due to her small stature, but judges commend her for exceptional dairy character, general appearance and rear udder height and attachment.
At our Linear Appraisal on 9/6/15 Turtle was appraised at +VVV 87 with the appraiser commenting that she was not feeling her best. Her Linear appraisal score on 6/13/16 was VEVV 88. Turtle's linnear appraisal in 2019 Was +EVV 86, as she struggled with
a torn meniscus and we had a terrible time keeping any weight on her Happily she has recovered and has done very well on her year off in 2020 (although on extended lactation as she refused to dry off).
